Community Foundation SA

Generating ongoing support for South Australian charities.

The Community Foundation of SA is a public charitable trust managed by the Public Trustee. Payments to the foundation are tax deductible.

The Community Foundation of SA was set up to allow individuals to expediently and inexpensively create trusts that benefit charitable organisations either in perpetuity or for a defined period of time. This can be done as a part of a person’s Will or at any time during their lifetime.

The Community Foundation of SA provides a competitive rate of return on funds that are invested and the income from the investments is used to support a number of South Australian charities.

Why donate?

The major benefit of placing funds with the Community Foundation of SA, rather than directly with the charities, is that the Community Foundation will keep making payments to those charities in perpetuity. The additional income from the general fund paid to the named funds provides a further monetary benefit to those charities.

Who can donate?

Anyone can! Individuals, corporations, businesses, organisations, groups, workers through Workplace Giving, other foundations, Governments and Local Councils.
