Public Trustee employs over 160 people and is committed to developing our team. Our people have a wide range of expertise in our key areas of operation and are dedicated professionals.

Mark Bodycoat

Public Trustee.

Mark is a graduate of the University of Western Australia and holds degrees in Law, Arts and Jurisprudence. He has practised as a solicitor in private practice and in government. He was Executive Director, Legal & Competition Policy in Western Australia’s Ministry of Fair Trading, and acted as the Ministry’s Chief Executive for 18 months, before moving to a senior position in Transport. He was appointed as South Australia’s Commissioner for Consumer Affairs in late 1999, and served in that position until his appointment as Public Trustee. He commenced as Public Trustee on 4 September 2007.

Roger Sanderson

General Manager Corporate & Financial Services

Roger Sanderson is General Manager Corporate & Financial Services and responsible for all corporate support of the organisation in financial management, information communications technology services, human resources and accounting and strategic development.

Dr Mark Witham

PhD, B Ec

General Manager Client Services

Dr Mark Witham is General Manager Client Services and responsible for client interaction and services including wills, deceased and personal estate management, legal section and taxation services. Mark is also responsible for Business Development and marketing of Public Trustee services.

Ken Wang

Chief Investment Officer

Ken Wang is the Chief Investment Officer of the funds management operation at Public Trustee. Ken joined Public Trustee in 1996 and presided over a period in which Public Trustee implemented the prudent person investing principle by providing diversified investment products for our clients. Ken Wang has some 21 years experience in financial markets ranging from broking to institutional funds management.

Ken joined Public Trustee after 10 years service with the South Australian Superannuation Fund Investment Trust and before that, he had an investment consulting practice. Ken has degrees in Science, Engineering and Business Management. He worked in manufacturing and industrial relations before changing career into finance.

Helen Thompson

MBA

Manager, Sales & Marketing

Helen Thompson is Manager, Sales and Marketing, responsible for Business Development; Marketing and Sponsorship opportunities relating to all areas of the Public Trustee including Trusts; Community Foundation of South Australia; Personal Estates; Wills and Deceased Estates. Helen leads the Business Relationship Team.

Liz Cufone

Acting Manager, Estate Services

Liz has many years experience within government and in particular within the Public Trustee office as an Estate Services officer, a Team Leader and now as the Acting Manager. 

Liz manages 3 teams of specialist Estate Services Officers whose leaders and members can provide you with complete deceased estate administration, genealogy and trustee services. Manager Personal Estates

The Personal Estates Branch is responsible for the provision of high quality financial administration services to individual clients who require assistance with the management of their financial affairs.

The majority of these clients are subject to an Administration Order issued by the Guardianship Board. Public Trustee also acts for clients as their Attorney, pursuant to a Power of Attorney appointment; as a Manager appointed by the Supreme Court under the Aged and Infirm Person’s Property Act and as a Trustee under the Public Trustee Act.
